Daybeds are stylish and
pragmatic additions to today's homes and apartments. From a luxuriously
draped lounge daybed gracing the corner of a large master bedroom to a
simple daybed in a small studio apartment, the daybed comes in many guises.
Our daybeds consist of four pieces: the headboard, two sides,
and a link spring. Each daybed ships to your door packaged to
minimize potential shipping damages (simple assembly).
Daybed Link Springs
With the link spring, there is no need for box springs and bed rails.
Simply attach the link spring onto the daybed and add any standard twin size
mattress. The link spring provides added storage underneath your daybed and
lets you hide an optional pop-up trundle.
Daybed Pop-Up Trundles
A popular daybed option is the pop-up trundle. The trundle folds down
underneath the daybed to hold an extra twin mattress. When you need a larger
sleeping surface, the trundle pulls out and raises up to create an instant
Note: Please do not
use a mattress with a height greater than 8 1/2". Otherwise, the
pop-unit will not have sufficient clearance.
Daybed Mattresses (Not
Be sure your mattress conforms to the standard size for a twin mattress.
The ideal mattress height
for a daybed is 8 1/2" or less. Using a mattress with excessive height
will cause the mattress to sit too high on the daybed, losing its "sofa"
Also, when used with a
pop-up trundle, an excessively thick mattress will prevent the trundle from
having sufficient clearance.
