All of our trundle beds employ a panel headboard and footboard design. The headboard and footboard simply attach to an iron frame with a wire mesh decking called a linkspring. The linkspring is used to elevate the trundle bed’s top mattress thirteen inches off the floor allowing clearance for the trundle. Underneath the linkspring will sit a pop-up trundle.
Unique Pop-Up Trundle Design
The pop-up trundle is a unique design extension of the traditional drawer or roll-out trundle. Each pop-up trundle unit has a lever, when activated, will raise the trundle to the height of the linkspring and create a king size sleeping surface. The trundle unit is free-standing and can be used in its lowered position if desired or rolled anywhere in a child’s room to be used as a cot.
Each trundle bed is available in a twin size, perfect any girl’s or boy’s room, and can accept any standard twin size mattress. We suggest selecting a mattress no thicker than nine inches to keep the mattress from sitting too high against the headboard and allow enough clearance for the mattress to roll underneath.
